Mass Effect four is set to be the latest in the massively successful Bioware serial, equally it follows on from the critically adored trilogy of games on the Xbox 360 and PS3 merely is Commander Shepard going to be in the game?

That naturally kicked off discussions suggesting that Shepard is coming back into the universe of Mass Effect just the rumours don't announced to be heading anywhere.

Bioware developer Mike Gamble posted a statement on Twitter that seemed to indicate that Shepard isn't going to be in the game.
He wrote: "Aye, that was a mistake. Fixed."
He followed up by proverb: "The original matter was written by the people who run the shop and aren't familiar with the game."
Now, of course, Shepard isn't mentioned so all hope is non lost, simply it does seem as though the character will not be appearing as a main playable character in the next game.
That doesn't rule out a cameo, though…
